Having 3% to 9% of bridges in a state that could continue to erode to the point of collapse is not acceptible.

BTW - the 3% of bridges in poor condition has been a static number since 2002. I guess that means that either we're not fixing anything, or we're fixing some while others deteriorate from fair to poor.Travis Codyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06192526507760146748noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20306397.post-71192197675080073222008-12-09T18:38:00.000-08:002008-12-09T18:38:00.000-08:00I love this idea. With interstate highway bridges ...I love this idea. With interstate highway bridges collapsing (2007) it seems high time to employ our human resources to repair our infrastructure.Billie Greenwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08214111146566550821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20306397.post-13690932128881439942008-12-09T18:00:00.000-08:002008-12-09T18:00:00.000-08:00I believe it was today that our "fearless leader" ...I believe it was today that our "fearless leader" announced something along the lines that our armed forces are now the best they have ever been. Was there a reference to the USA becoming a military force comparable to Russia? Am I laughing? And there was a news article on TV last night saying that more and more current military personnel are staying in the military rather than face the uncertainty 'out there.' So we have the military, but what about those who, for one reason or another, are not eligible for the Service? Let's look into that need also... can't hurt... repair roads, bridges. No government contracts or bids (a waste of $$)... just getting it done. I'm not really knowledgeable about stuff like this - it's just my opinion.carol ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17065648026125158107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20306397.post-11748453441349246512008-12-09T14:35:00.000-08:002008-12-09T14:35:00.000-08:00Not sure I know of any particular places and/or bu...Not sure I know of any particular places and/or buildings that need replacing but I'm sure that there are plenty of them out there that would benefit from this sort of program.

Oh, and if you could pass on to Carol that I have been trying to leave comments on her blog but I've been having the same issue with word verification there that I had over here and at a couple other blogs. Some days it works and other days - nope! I was going to email her and tell her also but alas, her email link doesn't work either. I am not exactly batting a thousand today!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05698969349369789642noreply@blogger.com
