What Reminds You Of Your Country

There is a video on You Tube that is getting a huge number of viewings. I've embedded it for you below, since he is asking a question. Those who would like to make a video response can, but I would love to hear from the people who visit here how they would answer the question. Here are some for me.

Thinking that anything 200 years old is really really old.

Being able to find every kind of climate possible all on the same day

Being able to find several kinds of ethnic food within a few blocks in almost every fairly large city.

Absolutely viscious criticism of the government without fearing any consequenses as long as you are just talking

A drive of 500 miles is a normal, comfortable trip in a day when on vacation.

Markets and stores with almost endless number of choices on virtually all products. There is rarely just one kind of anything.

YOUR TURN ADD SOME MORE THINGS.

Hey there...this is wonderful..
What reminds me of my country ?
this country?

Being able to stand on a Street Corner downtown and hear 4 different languages, and sniff and smell chinese, Italian and Mexican in one breath ;-)

Libraries...we have some of the best in the world...( I think)

trains...used to be we had some of the most beautiful train rides in the world...( on the west Coast and also the Zepher)

that is all for me...

Beautiful. That is exactly what I wanted to hear. Now if all the other readers would dive in for their country.

Hmm what reminds me of England.

-Rain, the type of rain that is.

-Pubs, the smell, the atmosphere.

-Chipshops.

-Complaining when standing in queues for anything.

I can wear a T-shirt with almost anything printed on it and not get a fine... I might get dirty looks, and in some parts of town I might get beat up...
