Time critics Lev Grossman and Richard Lecayo have produced a list of the 100 best novels from 1923 to the present. In case you were planning your summer reading, you might want to take a look for some catch up on great books you may have misse. I was pleasantly surprised since my life in books has been catching up on everything written since Gilgamesh at how many of the modern novels I had managed to squeeze in to the parade. A lot of these books are on my list to read at some point. I have something of an aversion to "the classics". It comes from the way I was forced to read certain books in high school.
Seems I have a lot of things to read, since I read only a couple of books from this list, such as LOTR, introduction to Narnina or 1984.
