The Queen's Meme - The Song Lyrics Meme
To participate in "The Queen's Meme" simply click on the link and follow directions. This week's meme is to come up with a song title/lyrics to fit randomly generated words. The Queen knows I can't resist a musical meme and it will be interesting to see if any songs are duplicated out there.
1. I Want To Know What Love Is - Foreigner
2. Hell of It from Phantom of the Paradise
3. Smack Water Jack, Carole King
4. Coyote Ugly Bar dance
5. Tale as Old as Time (Theme from Beauty and the Beast)
6. Romeo & Juliet - Mark Knopfler and Emmylou Harris
7. God Bless The Child - Billie Holiday

"Smack-water Jack he bought a shotgun ..." What a great choice! I love "God Bless the Child," too.
I went with 'Smackwater Jack' as well. It's the miot obvious choice.
I almost went with Billie Holiday as well with God Bless The Child. Funny how we picked two similar songs. I'm sure there's a rap song with "smack" in it, but the one I'm thinking of is by DMX and I try to stay PG-13 on my blog.
excellent collection of songs!
I almost went with Beauty and the Beast but Hotel California was playing in my head.
I Want To Know What Love Is - Foreigner
Great Pick!
I love Coyote Ugly. Great pics.
I'm following back. :)
ooh, great choices! ome old favourites and some new songs to go listen to. :-)I nearly picked Beauty and the Beast too.
We both chose "God Bless The Child"...I went with the Holiday version as well. Your #1 made me SMACK myself upside the head. Of course!
Seems that Smackwater Jack was a popular choice too.
"Tale As Old As Time" is now running through my pencil brain.
Well played.
Some good songs, some of which I hadn't heard before. Liked the Phantom of the Paradise track, surprised that I couldn't remember hearing the Carole King song since I've got the CD of Tapestry but should clearly listen to it a lot more often. Also surprised that "Romeo and Juliet" never even occurred to me for the word Romeo.
Very eclectic selections...but then the words were really all over the map, weren't they?
