Our friend Travis of Trav's Thoughts has created 5 On Friday as a way for participants to share their favorite or most meaningful music. Stop by his site for instructions and join in on the fun.
This week it is all Bonnie Raitt. This beautiful, generous woman writes songs that will make you laugh or tear your heart out. Then she gets up on a stage and plays with some of the best bluesmen in the business today. Her life story hasn't been an easy road, but she is still standing and the power is now in her music. Enjoy.

I went with ladies this week too. Love me some Bonnie. This is going to be a good Set for our weekend of organizing.
Have a good one Jamie!
"I Can't Make You Love Me" is one of my all-time favorite Bonnie Raitt songs, though truth be told I'd be hard-pressed to pick just one favorite off of her album "Home Plate". I honestly think I've played that one to death over the years!
I went with some earlier Elton John lesser-known music this week. Stepping back into my teenage years just a little bit I believe!
Five excellent choices from Ms. Raitt...
I love that success found her later in life, I think it helped to mold who she was as an artist
I Can't Make You Love Me - just love that song. No contest as to its being my favorite from your set this week.
No I didn't mean to have john Prine's "Paradise" 3 times...I don't know how that happened. I'll fix it. :(
