5 On Friday - Sing out with Glee
Our buddy Travis has invented one of the truly great memes. To join in simply stop by Trav's Thoughts for instructions, sign in, and then share five songs with everyone.
I confess I have become a total Gleek. Each week Glee gives you get a wide variety of music performed by a group of extremely talented young performers all wrapped into a story that deals with contemporary issues as lived by wonderful characters. So those of us who just adore musicals finally have some place to go to feed our addiction now that Hollywood has become nothing but overpriced explosions, crashes and special effects.
To top it off some of the biggest names in entertainment have this habit of just dropping in on the story in some minor or pertinent to that week's story line role and you go "Hey! It's Neil Patrick Harris, Kristin Chenoweth, or Britney Spears". The really nice part - After each episode you can download individual songs you loved or a whole album or wait and get a whole season. This show should simply last so long that the current cast's grandchildren are performing.
Dream On - Neil Patrick Harris & Matthew Morrison
Defying Gravity - Chris Colfer and Lea Michele (Kurt and Rachel)
Alone - Glee Cast and Kristin Chenoweth guest appearance
It's My Life - Glee Cast
No Air - Glee Cast

Now that was enjoyable to listen to. Neal Patrick Harris has a good set of pipes.
Ah, so nice to meet another Gleek! I woke up this morning with "River Wide, Mountain High" as sung by Mercedes and Santana stuck in my head!
No Air, Defying Gravity, and My Life/Confessions are three of my very favorites that the cast has done and done very, very well. Sometimes the story line ticks me off but the music is always great and you're right that if you love musicals this is a good place to get a fix, especially if you live close to New York but can't afford Broadway prices!
Now, Hugh Jackman needs to make an appearance!
I have not seen one episode of this show. I know so many people who enjoy it, but I just do not have the ambition to watch
I am letting you guess the theme today
I'm sure you've heard "Dancing with Myself" Jamie, right! Glee is incredible! Thanks for all the songs and the one with Neal Paick Harris - never heard him singing that one before.
We're still watching for the musical numbers, but we are not entertained by the show. There hasn't been much from this season that we've enjoyed, although this past week we absolutely loved the duet from Chris Colfer and Lea Michele.
