Such powerful images and words. I think them all for their service and their sacrifice.

Peace.

Peace. Good to remember the cost of war... and as you said weigh carefully whether it's worth it. As far as I can tell, it seldom is.

Oops...somehow I put myself up on Mr. Linky twice. My mistake.

Love the quotation you used on your peace globe!!!

Come on over, and read my impressions of peace if you can find time today.

Your video choices are an excellent, if sobering, reminder of what we don't want.

...adding a candle for peace.

Off topic - I love the coo on your globe. I live in North Scotland (last six years) and am a complete Hielan' coo convert. I just LOVE them. :-)

Great compilation of the grim realities that war entails. Is it ever worth it? Perhaps it is time we evolve to a higher consciousness. Thank you for this motivation to do just that.

Images of war are always heartbreaking. Those men and women all have/had family praying for their safety and awaiting their return.

Peace to you and yours.

War may never be completely eradicated, but there are much better ways to handle serious situations than ridiculous ideas like preemptive war.

My we all work incessantly towards PEACE!

Wonderful videos - for some reason the WWI video seemed so poignant to me, perhaps because there's a current focus on the First World War in Canada, as that generation of vets has passed away.

I love the quote on your peace globe. Happy Blogblast For Peace Weekend!
