Silence

Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.

Dwight D. Eisenhower

The words are gone that speak
where kisses have grown silent
and lips grow still and helpless
to tell the secrets longing to be told
trapped within our hearts

Dan Wilson

Thanks for stopping by Jamie!

Love the art here, especially the dancing portrait.

Why can't we all just shut up and dance?

The stained glass window is another Chagall. This one is at the UN and was done as a memorial tribute to Dag Hammersjkold and the 13 others who died with him in a plane crash.

It seemed appropriate for today.

I don't think you could have picked a better picture or two better quotes - very nicely done.

I thought I posted a comment last night when I cruised by. Sorry about that.

The words combined with the stained glass are powerful.
